Static Website Building

Static websites are when the page(html) is delivered to the user exactly as is. The web page isn't changed by the server to customize it for the user. Also everytime you click on a link the server loads an entire new page rather than just the part that you want. This uses up more bandwidth. This website is an example of a static website. I would make this website dynamic if I had acces to a good pree server. Unfortunanly, server space isn't free.

Dynamic Website Building

Dynamic websites on the other hand have a lot more flexability. You can have part of the page be updated not the entire thing. This is very useful for websites that are very complex. It is also possible to have the website acces a mysql database. So you can for instance have a webisite that has a blog with those blogs bing stored in a mysql database. In fact I have done that. I just had it hosted on my laptop not a server, using apache. I was using my laptop as a server. The server usualy uses PHP as the language that you do all this with.
